Central Texas Speedway, located in Kyle, TX off of exit 210, is gearing up for their big year full of festivals, concerts, and racing. “Our main focus is to give the surrounding community a fun place to bring their families and friends without having to travel to Austin and San Antonio,” said General Manager, Meredith Murray. CTS has recently partnered with Elite Entertainment, a locally owned production company that is planning on taking their events to the next level with top notch sound, lighting, and special effects. “As we were planning our 2016 events back in November, we wanted to have a spring carnival in addition to the Annual Kyle Fair and Music Fest we have in the fall. That’s when it dawned on us that there was no Hays County Fair in existence! We have to change that,” said Murray.
CTS is asking all members of Hays County to come out to participate in what will be the first of many Hays County Fairs. The fair will be held on April 7th, 8th, and 9th. CTS plans on having vendor midways, live music, go kart rentals, helicopter rides, and carnival rides every day of the fair with Saturday, April 9th being the grand finale! Saturday, April 9th festivities will feature an enormous crawfish boil at 2:00 P.M., a motorcycle poker run stating at 10:00 A.M. and some great “Zydeco” bands to really top off the night. There will be a $5 parking fee at the venue. Admission into the fair and concerts will be free. CTS also offers free parking passes at several local participating stores such as, HEB Kyle, Lowes Home and Improvement Kyle, and NAPA Auto part stores located in several areas along the beltway from San Antonio to Austin, TX. CTS is offering 10ftx10ft vendor both areas for $100.00 each and vendor booth areas for non-profit organizations at no charge - Vendor applications are available online at www.centraltexasspeedway.com.
“This event is all about community involvement. This is a place for the local school organizations, such as the band and sports teams, to raise money with fundraisers and things like that. We are opening the doors to the public and welcoming everyone with open arms.” – Meredith Murray
